These Chattanooga business professionals are on the move

Brandon Wells joins StoneLoads as business development executive for Texas and Oklahoma. Wells comes to StoneLoads with extensive sales and customer service experience. Wells attended Baylor University before serving in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Iraq and South Korea. Prior to joining StoneLoads, Wells completed lengthy tenures in manufacturing sales and as a Chick-fil-A executive director where his energies focused on strengthening workplace culture and providing renowned customer service.

Kathy Goodridge-Purnell joins Southern Adventist University as the new senior advisor to the president on diversity and strategic planning. Originally from England with roots in the Caribbean, Purnell is a gifted communicator and leader, bringing decades of relevant experience to the Collegedale campus. Most recently she served as chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Pacific Union College in California. With a doctorate in education and professional studies from Capella University, Purnell also holds master's degrees in social work and instructional design/online technology.

Nicholas "Nick" T. Kujawa, joins Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. as a financial analyst where he is responsible for providing and evaluating various financial reports, key performance indicators, and reporting packages to the firm's leadership team. He also reviews the firm's historical data and industry research to ensure the firm is providing the best overall user experience to clients. Kujawa is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he earned a degree in economics.

Toya Moore is the new leadership development director for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. She was formerly a talent development advisor at LBMC. In her new role, Moore directs the administration of the Chattanooga Chamber Foundation's suite of programs: Leadership Chattanooga, Young Professionals of Chattanooga, Protégé Chattanooga, the Leadership Chattanooga Alumni Association, and ChattaNewbies.

Kelly Scoggins is promoted to director of ethics and compliance for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. In her new role, Scoggins oversees and manages all phases of the BlueCross corporate compliance program, including the enterprise records and information management program and the company's federal regulatory compliance team. A 30-year BlueCross employee, Scoggins developed extensive knowledge in audit and government benefits administration across a number of positions. Before assuming her current duties, she served for 11 years as ethics and compliance manager in the company's corporate compliance division.

Kendra Young joins UnifiEd as its new executive director. Young has served as an educator for almost 20 years. As a former Hamilton County teacher, she has held the role of a behavioral specialist, various leadership positions, facilitated support for public education, and taught state standards to diverse learners. Her passion for public education led her to becoming a founding member and chairperson of Hamilton County United.

Jason Hughes is promoted to an associate with the architectural firm Tinker Ma, LLC where he leads utilization of building information modeling technology, as well as actively contribute to the strategic technology development as it relates to direction, growth, and success of the firm. Hughes has a background of serving in the armed forces, 3D modeling for industrial prototyping and teaching collegiate level technology courses.

Chad Jaynes is named the dean of the Business and Industry Division at Chattanooga State Community College. In his role as dean, Jaynes supervises and directs support services to personnel and the programs within the business and industry division. He shapes academic strategy to promote and assists in the development of new courses and programs based on local and regional needs while adhering to the college's strategic plan, initiate collaborative programs and articulation agreements with baccalaureate institutions, and lead divisional initiatives to expand early postsecondary opportunities for high school students.

Emily McHenry joins Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area as chief mission integration officer, where she leads the workforce development and community services department. Her responsibilities include leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for mission delivery, and the advancement of all agency training and mission services programs. McHenry was previously the director of career and talent development at the Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.

S. Clark Kennedy, MD, joins CHI Memorial Surgical Associates. Dr. Kennedy earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tenn. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
