Here's what the Chattanooga area has to offer this week.

NOTE THE DATE

Before you count down to the new year, it's worth noting that tomorrow's date is a countdown in reverse. Dec. 31, 2023, may also be written as 123123. According to wellandgoodcom, numerologists consider recurring numbers of repeating digits angel numbers. You may have your own set of angel numbers that show up repeatedly in your life, says writer Helen Carefoot, but when they occur in a date, they are considered more universal and signify a special kind of fresh start. Sounds tailor-made for the new year. To celebrate the three-digit repeat, here are three things to do today:

1. Listen to Sofia Reyes' "1, 2, 3." Her Latin pop single will leave you with the earworms "un, dos, tres" and "la, la, la, la, la" the rest of the day.

2. Waltz on Frazier Avenue. Why there? There are steps for this ballroom dance, which moves to a 1-2-3 count, embedded in the sidewalk.

3. Commemorate the date with a photo. Prep your family or friends with a 1, 2, 3 count to their "say cheese" moment. Perfect. Happy New Year!
