Flag Day lessons
Wreaths Across America has announced the addition of new Flag Day lesson plans to its Teach Program, which provides free access to curriculum and educational resources for educators. Flag Day, celebrated June 14, commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States. The new lesson plans, which have been designed for all grade levels and learning abilities, are meant to provide an understanding of civic ideals and practices, which curriculum developer Cindy Tatum describes as "critical for full participation in society and ... an essential component of education for citizenship."
