Concrete contractor expands to Chattanooga, to add local office

A Charleston, South Carolina, concrete contractor plans to open an office in Chattanooga, the company's first outside of its headquarters site.

Jack Evans, owner of Evans Contracting Group, said in a phone interview Friday that his company already is doing work in Chattanooga and the area.

He said the business is working at McCallie School on a new outdoor facility as well as at the Buc-ee's travel center in Calhoun, Georgia, where his company is helping build a car wash and added parking.

Also, Evans said his business is working at locations in the South related to construction of ModWash car washes. ModWash is based in Chattanooga.

A veteran, Evans said he's interested in putting other vets to work and providing training opportunities.

"We'll give guys leadership and training skills," he said.
