Here's what the Chattanooga area has to offer this week.

Cosmic fun

Various parts of Tennessee will experience 85% to 95% totality during Monday's solar eclipse, which means you'll need protective eyewear to view it safely. On Sunday, The Fresh Market will offer members of its Ultimate Loyalty Experience a free pair of solar eclipse glasses with a purchase of $50 or more.

Other ways to celebrate the eclipse:

› Burger King has a buy-one, get-one free deal on Whoppers for Royal Perks members who text ECLIPSE to 251251 during the eclipse (sign up at bk.com/royalperks).

 Chattanooga Bakery has shipped special-edition MoonPies to stores in "blackout boxes" containing six or 12 of the marshmallow-filled graham cookies. Also look for the total eclipse survival kit with four mini-MoonPies and two pairs of eclipse glasses.

› Chuy's has food and drink specials through Monday for its Tex-Mex Totality Celebration. They include a new Eclipse 'Rita for $8, $5 Chips 'N' Dips all day and a $15 Dark Side of the Spoon parody shirt.

› Krispy Kreme has teamed with Oreo to sell a doughnut-cookie creation through Monday.

› Pizza Hut plans a Total Eclipse of the Hut, offering large pizzas for $12.

› Smoothie King is featuring a new Eclipse Berry Blitz smoothie.

› Sonic is selling a Blackout Slush Float.

› SunChips is offering Solar Eclipse Chips, but only during the 4 minutes and 27 seconds of totality. Beginning at 2:33 p.m. ET, fans can visit SunChipsSolarEclipse.com for a chance to win the limited-time flavor, a blend of pineapple habanero and black bean spicy gouda.
