Dalton police are looking for a pair of alleged vacuum shoplifters, according to a release from the DPD.

A man who was later identified from surveillance video as Joshua Cohen, 30, and a woman walked into the Shugart Road Walmart on Tuesday, Nov. 28, and placed two vacuum cleaners in a shopping cart after pulling them off the shelves. The couple then attempted to "return" the items at the customer service desk, saying they had purchased the vacuums but did not have a receipt.

The customer service representative refused the refund, but the pair were able to leave the store with the vacuums, which were estimated to cost over $400 total.

Investigators obtained a warrant for Cohen's arrest on a charge of misdemeanor shoplifting but have not been able to find him or the female who was with him, according to the release.

The DPD is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cohen or the identity of the female suspect to call Detective Jacob Burger at 706-278-9085, extension 9325.
