Suspect wanted for violent crimes in Chattanooga captured

Another person wanted in connection to involvement in violent crimes in Chattanooga is now in custody.

Orlando Watkins, 26, was apprehended in Rossville, Ga., today, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.

Investigative leads led officers to Watkins' whereabouts. He was wanted on warrants for aggravated assault and evading arrest. He will be facing additional charges as well.

The capture was the culmination of a joint effort between Chattanooga police, Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force, Rossville Police Department and federal agencies.

Troy Timmis, 30, another person wanted by police, was apprehended in a warrant roundup on March 15.

The department offered a reward of $500 each for help capturing four suspects involved in violent crimes in the city.

Authorities are asking anyone who may know the whereabouts of these individuals to contact the CPD fugitive unit at 423-643-5404.
