BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A woman who police say fatally stabbed a mother after a dispute with her son has been arrested.

News outlets report Danielle Devonna Sullens was arrested on murder and second-degree assault charges Sunday night in connection with the Friday night stabbing death of 37-year-old Rashaunda Holyfield.

Birmingham Police Sgt. Bryan Shelton says Sullens and Holyfield's adult son got into a physical altercation at a gas station, after which Sullens drove to Holyfield's home to confront her about her son. Shelton said an altercation ensued and Holyfield was stabbed multiple times.

Holyfield was pronounced dead at UAB Hospital.
