ORIGINAL STORY: Multiple vehicle crashes Sunday night have snarled traffic on Interstate 75 northbound near the East Brainerd Road exit, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's Smartway website.
The first incident was reported at 9:24 p.m. and was estimated to be cleared by 2 a.m. Another multi-vehicle crash was reported at 11 p.m. and was estimated to be cleared by 1 a.m.
The right lane of northbound I-75 traffic is blocked. Southbound traffic is not affected.
The Hamilton County 911 website is reporting that there are injuries associated with the crashes.
