Chattanooga police have made an arrest in connection to last year's liquid attack on Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority employees.

Almost exactly a year later, 30-year-old Maja Madesha Garcia-Thompson has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

On Sept. 26, 2017, an unidentified person approached a woman at 7 a.m. as she was walking from her vehicle toward the CARTA operations center at 1617 Wilcox Boulevard.

The female suspect threw an unidentified liquid from a cup and then fled. The victim sustained "serious injuries," according to police.

The liquid also splashed onto four other CARTA employees. They received less severe injuries.
