Suspect in custody for April shooting charged in 2017 homicide

A man already in custody in connection to an April shooting was charged Friday in a 2017 homicide, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Anthony Broome II, 27, is a suspect in the shooting of Shandar Weaver, aka Shalone Wingate, that happened June 15, 2017, in the 100 block of O'Neal Street.

Broome is in Hamilton County Jail for charges related to the shooting of Sean Ware on April 30, also in the 100 block of O'Neal Street.

Police charged Broome with criminal homicide, felony reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
