At least one person has been injured in a shooting in the 7700 block of Holiday Hills Circle late Wednesday, less than a mile away from where 20-year-old Kevin Daniel was killed on Christmas Day.
Chattanooga police were called to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. and found a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The man's injury is not life-threatening, police spokesman Trevor Tomas said.
The man's identity has not been released.
Police told the Times Free Press a suspect knocked on the door and fired several shots when the door was answered.
It's the city's sixth shooting over a five-day period, including one fatal shooting on Christmas Day.
That homicide took place just a quarter mile away from where Wednesday's victim was shot, and the vehicle involved in the homicide was found about a tenth of a mile from Wednesday's shooting scene.
However, police have not yet confirmed whether the two shootings are related.
