UPDATE: Both W Road and Roberts Mill Road have been reopened to traffic, according to a release from the HCSO.
ORIGINAL STORY: W Road and Roberts Mill Road will be closed starting at 7 p.m. tonight, Jan. 12, according to a release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
The roads will be closed due to the threat of inclement weather, precipitation and below freezing temperatures, according to the release.
Drivers should expect the roads to be closed until tomorrow morning or later, depending on road conditions and temperature.
The HCSO encourages drivers attempting to reach Signal Mountain and Walden communities to allow extra travel time and use Signal Mountain Road until further notice.
