Karl Dean to host early voting event

The Karl Dean campaign will host an early voting event Tuesday after supporters cast their early ballots for the August primary.

It will begin at 11 a.m. at the Brainerd Community Center at 1010 North Moore Road.

Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice host Blue Bash Redux

Tuesday, Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice are hosting a candidate forum and party, during which candidates can meet and greet voters.

The event will take place from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. at the Barking Legs Theater at 1307 Dodds Ave.

Craig Fitzhugh to attend Chattanooga JFK club

Craig Fitzhugh, democratic candidate for governor, will speak in Chattanooga at the monthly JFK luncheon Tuesday morning.

The Chattanooga JFK is a political club for Democrats in Hamilton County who meet every third Tuesday of each month.

This month's luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the The Feed Tavern at 201 West Main St.

Cagle announces third bus tour

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle announced on Monday the third "Cagle Country Bus Tour" of his campaign for governor.

Cagle's mid-July bus tour will visit 12 communities, where he will meet local voters in hopes of continuing growing support during the home stretch of the GOP primary runoff.

"This third bus tour represents yet another chance to add to the incredible momentum that is going to propel us to victory on July 24," Cagle said in a statement.
