Three of the city's highway tunnels will close in succession starting next week for cleaning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The work will start Wednesday with the McCallie Tunnel and Stringers Ridge tunnels, a TDOT news release states. The Bachman Tubes will follow on Thursday.
The tunnels will be closed and traffic detoured between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Detours will be posted.
