One person hospitalized with gunshot wound after shots fired on Dodson Avenue

Chattanooga police responded to reports of shots fired on the 900 block of Dodson Avenue Wednesday afternoon, according to a CPD news release.

Police were unable to find a person shot or spent shell casings on scene, but were later notified that a person had arrived at a local hospital to be treated for a single, non life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm, the release states.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call police at 423-698-2525. Callers can remain anonymous.

The CPD Major Crimes Bureau is actively investigating the incident, according to the release.
