Some lanes of northbound Interstate 75 between Bonny Oaks Drive and Volkswagen Drive will be shut down starting Friday evening for concrete repairs that will last into Sunday.
Jennifer Flynn, spokeswoman for the state Department of Transportation, said work crews will be sawing and removing damaged concrete slabs and pouring new concrete.
The work will take place around mile marker 8.2 and will close the middle and left lanes. Two lanes will remain open for traffic.
TDOT will station a message-board truck on site and the Tennessee Highway Patrol will assist with traffic control, she said.
Drivers are urged to slow down, obey the signs and pay close attention to changing conditions in the work zone.
