A 38-year-old Sale Creek, Tennessee, man was killed Sunday night on Cloud Springs Road when he attempted to cross the road and was struck by a vehicle driven by LaFayette, Georgia, man.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Sale Creek resident Steven E. McGuire was fatally injured in the collision with a vehicle driven by Lucas Caleb Mangrum, 19, of LaFayette, reported at 8:19 p.m. Sunday.
McGuire was struck in the left lane on the westbound side of Cloud Springs Road and came to rest in the right hand lane, 60 feet from the point of impact, officers said.
No charges are being filed.
