Young girl killed in four-vehicle crash on Cummings Highway

September 25th, 2018 by Staff Report in Breaking News

A young girl was killed Monday night in a crash in front of the Taco Bell at 3210 Cummings Highway.

Four vehicles collided after one vehicle crashed into a separate vehicle — the vehicle the juvenile passenger was in — that was stopped attempting to turn into the Taco Bell. The vehicle attempting to turn into Taco Bell was struck on the passenger side after being hit from behind. The vehicle that initially hit the stopped vehicle then was struck by a different vehicle in the front right side.

The occupants of the stopped vehicle were transported to Erlanger Hospital and Children's Hospital at Erlanger by Hamilton County EMS, where the juvenile passenger succumbed to her injuries.

The driver that hit the stopped vehicle first remained on scene and did not need medical attention. The drivers of the other two vehicles were transported to a local hospital via personal vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing.
