After months of waiting, Hamilton County Commission meetings will now be live-streamed on Facebook.

Wednesday's regular commission session on April 3 was the first meeting to be live-streamed.

The commission has only been posting its agendas online for the public after its Wednesday meetings since April 2018.

The county also posts audio recordings of the meetings, but those recordings can sometimes take more than a day to appear online.

Who could access certain areas of the commission's chambers during meetings were also recently up for debate.

In December, the commission debated restricting access to the upper balcony to credentialed media only, but the resolution was eventually tabled.

The Hamilton County Commission meets at 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday for alternating agenda sessions and regular sessions in the commission chambers at the Hamilton County Courthouse.
