Grundy County, Tennessee, sheriff's deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday.

Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Flat Branch Road in Tracy City at around 2:26 p.m. when a caller reported two people dead inside a home, according to a news release.

When deputies arrived they found 62-year-old Renee Oliver and 64-year-old Richard Oliver, both deceased from gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe Richard shot Renee multiple times before shooting himself, but they are still trying to piece together what led to the shooting, according to a Wednesday night news release.

In a statement, Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum said both bodies have been sent to the Medical Examiner's office in Nashville for autopsies.
