BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) - Police say a school bus crash in Tennessee has injured its driver and a student.

Brentwood police Assistant Chief Tommy Walsh tells news outlets that both were taken to a hospital after the two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon. The child had minor injuries, while the bus driver's were more severe but not critical.

Walsh says seven children were in the bus when it and an SUV collided at an intersection. He says the driver of the SUV wasn't injured.

The assistant chief says the bus had been travelling from Ravenwood High School.

Police are investigating, but Walsh says he doesn't expect charges would be brought in connection to the crash.
