Georgia U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson hospitalized after Washington, D.C., fall

U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., has been hospitalized after falling in his Washington, D.C., apartment and suffering four fractured ribs.

Isakson was admitted to George Washington hospital on Tuesday night, according to a news release from Isakson spokeswoman Amanda Maddox.

"He is in no pain, but resting and doing well," reads the release. "Senator Isakson looks forward to fully recovering and getting back to work for Georgians."
