A fugitive wanted in connection with a weekend stabbing and robbery in Bradley County, Tennessee, was captured Wednesday in McMinn County, a news release states.

Alincia Renea Peterson was taken into custody in Etowah with assistance from the 10th Judicial District Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the McMinn County Sheriff's Department, the release from Adam Lewis with the Bradley County Sheriff's Office stated.

The robbery occurred on July 20, when Bradley County deputies and investigators responded to a Clay Baker Road address and found a man on an embankment at the end of the road, according to a Bradley sheriff's office Facebook post. The victim, identified as Caesar Rodriguez, 46, had been repeatedly stabbed after an argument with at least one woman in a vehicle. He was able to provide only the last four digits of his assailant's phone number and a "basic" physical description, and was flown to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga due to the seriousness of his injuries.

The following day Rodriguez told investigators that he had asked two females, one an African American, for a ride to Chattanooga, and on the way they stopped for beer, cigarettes, and at a fast-food restaurant. After leaving the restaurant, he told authorities, the African American female got into the back seat where he was sitting and asked for money. When he refused, she stabbed him with a small pair of scissors. The females eventually forced him from the vehicle on a rural road and fled with about $700 of his money, according to authorities.

Surveillance camera footage from the convenience store story showed the victim and a white female getting out of a Toyota Camry.

Investigators tracked down the African American female by the phone number and physical description.

Early on July 23 deputies stopped a vehicle matching that in the camera footage. After being read her Miranda rights, the driver, Kaitlyn Evans, agreed to discuss the incident with investigators, authorities said.

Evans corroborated most of the victim's story and helped investigators confirm the identity of Peterson, authorities said.

Evans was booked into the Bradley County Jail on one count of felony especially aggravated robbery and was being held under a $20,000 bond.

Peterson faces the same charge, and her bond was set at $30,000.
