A police chase ended after the suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed on I-75, closing Southbound lanes near mile marker 11 on Friday afternoon.

Chattanooga police had joined an ongoing multi-agency pursuit of 19-year-old Theonda Thorne, who was wanted on three counts of aggravated robbery. Thorne fled from law enforcement in Knoxville before Chattanooga police stopped him in Ooltewah, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.

Local, state and federal law enforcement officers were trying to serve felony warrants on Thorne, who is now in custody. He was transported to a local hospital as a precaution and will later be transported to the Hamilton County Jail, a CPD news release states.

All lanes on I-75 South in Ooltewah are now open to traffic, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation traffic cameras.
