The suspect in this morning's shooting in Soddy-Daisy has been identified as 71-year-old Tommy G. Couch Sr., according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery after law enforcement officials say he shot a 45-year-old woman three times near the 200 block of Coleman Road and Highway 27. Couch is being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
