Multi-vehicle crashes cause traffic problems on I-75 north near East Ridge, I-24 east near Cummings Highway

A crash involving multiple vehicles Friday has backed up traffic on Interstate 75 northbound at mile marker 1 near East Ridge, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's SmartWay traffic website.

The incident was reported at 4:35 p.m. and was estimated to be cleared by about 5:40.

Northbound traffic is affected with the inside shoulder blocked. Southbound traffic is unaffected.

Another multi-vehicle crash caused traffic problems on Interstate 24 eastbound in Hamilton County at mile marker 174 near the Cummings Highway exit.

This incident was reported at 4:47 p.m. and was estimated to be cleared by about 5:50.

Eastbound traffic is affected with the left lane blocked and westbound traffic is unaffected.
