UPDATE: 19-year-old suspect in custody after Saturday stabbing on Grove Street in Chattanooga

UPDATE: Latricia Alexandra Hood has been arrested and charged with attempted criminal homicide aftering a stabbing Saturday night in the 1100 block of Grove Street. CPD's Fugitive Unit with assistance from the US Marshals and HCSO Fugitive took the suspect into custody and she was transported to the Hamilton County Jail, according to a news release.

Chattanooga police investigated a reported stabbing Saturday night in the 1100 block of Grove Street where officers found a woman suffering from wounds around 7:40 p.m., according to a news release.

The 19-year-old victim, who was not named, was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the department's Violent Crimes Unit was called to the scene, authorities said.

Investigators were able to determine that the victim and suspect were in a disorder prior to the stabbing, the release states.
