ATLANTA (AP) -- Authorities in Atlanta say a police officer crashed his cruiser into a MARTA commuter bus, injuring both drivers.

News outlets report Atlanta police say the bus had a green light and was moving through an intersection early Monday when the officer crashed into it with his cruiser. WGCL-TV reports police say the officer had not been responding to a call and investigators are unsure why his cruiser's lights and sirens were activated.

The station quotes police as saying the officer suffered facial injuries and a concussion, while the bus driver complained of leg injuries. The bus was carrying a single passenger who wasn't harmed. Police are reviewing surveillance video from the bus.
