Apparel firm to make $7.5M Tennessee expansion with 220 jobs

HENNING, Tenn. (AP) -- An apparel company is planning to invest $7.5 million in an expansion in western Tennessee that is expected to create more than 220 jobs.

The Department of Economic and Community Development announced that VF Corporation will expand its operations in Henning and will set up a new distribution facility in Covington.

VF Corporation was founded in 1899 and has a group of outdoor, active and workwear brands, including Vans, The North Face, Timberland and Dickies.

The expansion of the Henning manufacturing facility is expected to create 162 jobs, while the new Covington center is expected to create 66 new jobs. The new distribution operations will be located in an existing building in Tipton County.
