The driver, 25-year-old Megan Wilson, was arrested and charged with DUI and speeding.

Wilson was heading south between Thrasher Pike and Harrison Lane when she allegedly rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, pushing it onto the shoulder. The driver of that vehicle was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with severe injuries, according to Soddy-Daisy police.

Wilson's vehicle continued into the median, across northbound traffic and into a ditch, according to WRCB.
