A woman charged with drunk driving allegedly caused a severe crash on U.S. 27 Saturday night in Soddy-Daisy, causing both lanes to shut down and sending a victim to the hospital with critical injuries, according to our news partners at WRCB.
The driver, 25-year-old Megan Wilson, was arrested and charged with DUI and speeding.
Wilson was heading south between Thrasher Pike and Harrison Lane when she allegedly rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, pushing it onto the shoulder. The driver of that vehicle was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with severe injuries, according to Soddy-Daisy police.
