Mild weather in late winter caused less demand for electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority.
In a quarterly filing, TVA said power demand fell 6 percent in the January through March quarter compared with the same period last year. Power demand for the fiscal year to date, which began Oct. 1, is about 2 percent less than last year across TVA's seven-state region.
