Clumpies Ice Cream Co., owned by See Rock City Inc., will celebrate the opening of its second location next Tuesday at the lower station of the Incline Railway.

The ice cream shop, which opened to the public in March, is boasting a brand-new ice cream flavor known as "St. Elmo's Fire," tasting of Mayan-spiced chocolate with cayenne candied pecans. "When we decided to create an ice cream to celebrate the opening of our new store, we wanted it to be a flavor that reflected the neighborhood and its people," said SRC Culinary Experience Director Billy Sparks. "What we ended up with was a classic flavor that is new and fresh, it's eclectic, it's bold and quite frankly, it's a little bit nutty. As a St. Elmonian of 18 years, I think that sums us up pretty well."

SRC President Susan Harris said Clumpies is a distinctive Chattanooga brand "and we think the St. Elmo community is a perfect match for its unique offerings."

The original Clumpies Ice Cream store, which opened in 1999, is located on Frazier Avenue in North Chattanooga, and also has a production site on the Southside.
