CVS has opened its seventh MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinic in Hamilton County - and its 33rd such clinic in Tennessee - at the CVS/pharmacy store in Soddy Daisy at 9389 Dayton Pike. The clinic is open 7 days a week with weekday evening hours.

"Since opening the first store-based clinic in Tennessee in 2005, MinuteClinic has helped to expand access to high-quality, convenient and affordable care to thousands of residents at convenient CVS/pharmacy locations near where they live and work," Dr. Andrew Sussman, president of MinuteClinic and executive vice president for CVS Health said in a statement.

MinuteClinic nurse practitioners specialize in family health care and can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common family illnesses such as strep throat and ear, eye, sinus, bladder and bronchial infections. No appointments are required at MinuteClinic and most health insurance is accepted. The cost for most treatment starts at $79.

The MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinic in Soddy Daisy operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
