The early bird gets the free coffee and gift cards.

Bojangles will extend the gift- giving season into next week when it opens its new Highway 58 restaurant on Tuesday. Bojangle's employees will be handing out free coffee to those who show up at 4 a.m., and $50 gift cards when doors actually open at 5 a.m.

The first 50 customers in the door will get gift cards.

First-day customers also will be able to enter for a chance to win free Bojangle's breakfast for a year.

All customers on opening day will receive a free 22-ounce sweet tea with any purchase from 2-5 p.m., and a coupon for a free ham, steak or sausage biscuit with any purchase from 5-10 p.m.

Bojangle's has other Chattanooga restaurants on Hixson Pike and on 23rd Street in Chattanooga and other nearby outlets in Red Bank, Hixson, East Ridge, Soddy-Daisy, Cleveland and Athens, Tenn., and in Fort Oglethorpe, Lafayette, Dalton and Chatsworth, Ga. The Red Bank and Soddy-Daisy sites also were added this year.

The Highway 58 store will be a company-owned location and will employ 30-35 people. The 3,800-square-foot restaurant will seat more than 70 guests, and will serve breakfast from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The restaurant is just down the street from a new Dunkin' Donuts that opened earlier this week on Highway 58.

"We are thrilled to open our third Bojangle's restaurant in Chattanooga," said Dion Firooznia, regional vice president for Bojangle's. "We look forward to providing local restaurants with friendly service and our popular, freshly made menu items for many years to come. Additionally, we're excited to be a great partner in the local community."

Bojangle's was founded in 1977 in Charlotte, N.C., and currently operates more than 650 stores nationwide, with more than 270 company-owned stores and more than 380 franchise-owned stores.

Fast-casual chicken chains have been on a rise nationally, and Bojangle's, Zaxby's and Chick-fil-A have taken advantage of the demand for chicken by expanding their borders. Rising beef prices have also been a boon to chicken-centric chains.

Nationally Inc. estimates the company did more than $430 million in revenue in 2014, employed more than 8,300 people.
