Ziff Properties buys Mountainview Shopping Center in Rossville

Ziff Properties Inc. on Monday said it has bought the 35,872-square-foot Mountainview Shopping Center in Rossville, which is anchored by a Food City grocery store.

The Rossville Boulevard property, which will be substantially redeveloped, was purchased from a private owner from New York.

Christian Chamblee, chief operating officer and director of acquisitions for Ziff Properties, said the shopping center is an important grocery destination for the families of the southern-most portions of the Chattanooga area.

Mount Pleasant, S.C.-based Ziff Properties specializes in the development, acquisition and management of commercial properties in the Southeast.

The company's 3 million-square-foot portfolio includes shopping centers, office buildings, and self-storage facilities.
