Rhea County is among four Tennessee counties slated to take part in the latest round of the Select Tennessee Property Evaluation Program.

The other counties are Campbell, Dyer, and Jefferson.

Since the program's inception in 2015, it has helped improve the inventory of industrial sites and buildings across the state, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. This round brings the total number of counties which have participated to 56.

The program evaluates potential industrial properties, advising counties on site improvements and where investments may be most beneficial.

The four counties were selected based on the demonstrated local need for industrial properties and the ability to assemble sites with viable market potential.

Netflix subscribers grow by 16 million

Netflix picked up nearly 16 million global subscribers during the first three months of the year, helping cement its status as one of the world's most essential services in times of isolation or crisis.

The quarter spanned the beginning of stay-at-home orders in the U.S. and around the world, a result of the coronavirus pandemic. People appeared to latch on to its vast video library as a source of entertainment and comfort at a time when most had nowhere to be but home.

Netflix more than doubled the quarterly growth it predicted in January, well before the COVID-19 outbreak began to shut down many major economies. It was the biggest three-month gain in the 13-year history of Netflix's streaming service.

Chipotle pays fine for tainted foods

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. agreed Tuesday to pay a record $25 million fine to resolve criminal charges that it served tainted food that sickened more than 1,100 people in the U.S. from 2015 to 2018.

The fast food company was charged in Los Angeles federal court with two counts of violating the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by serving adulterated food that in some instances caused outbreaks of norovirus, which causes diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal cramps, at restaurants. The virus is spread easily by people mishandling food.

The company admitted that poor safety practices, such as not keeping food at proper temperatures to prevent pathogen growth, sickened customers in Los Angeles and nearby Simi Valley, as well as Boston, Sterling, Virginia, and Powell, Ohio.

The Newport Beach, California-based company will avoid conviction by continuing to institute a better food safety program.

Federal prosecutors said the fine was the largest in a food safety case.

"Chipotle failed to ensure that its employees both understood and complied with its food safety protocols, resulting in hundreds of customers across the country getting sick," U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna said in a statement.

Delta adds cargo only flights to Seoul Korea

Delta Air Lines is launching cargo-only flights to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to help move medical supplies and other goods amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Atlanta-based Delta said it is starting Atlanta-Seoul cargo service that will operate four times a week on Boeing 777-200ER jets.

The 777-200ER can carry 42 tons of cargo in the cargo hold. The goods will be transferred in Atlanta to the cargo holds of domestic passenger flights.

As part of the operation to move goods from Asia, Delta also is now operating cargo flights between Shanghai and Seoul's Incheon Airport twice daily.

Delta suspended passenger flights to Seoul in March, and U.S. airlines have also suspended most of their passenger flights to Asia because of COVID-19.
