Georgia, Tennessee among top states for worker resignations

As the economy has started to recover from the effects of the pandemic, there has been a surge in job openings and employees quitting existing jobs to take on different jobs amid what economists have dubbed "The Great Resignation."

The personal finance website WalletHub took a look at the data to rank the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on how frequently people are leaving their places of employment.

In Georgia, which ranked third highest in resignations, 3.6% of all employees quit their jobs last month. In Tennessee, ranked No. 9 for resignations, 3.5% resigned from a job last month.

The top ten states with the highest share of employee resignations last month were:

2. South Carolina

3. Georgia

4. Delaware

5. Kentucky

6. Mississippi

7. West Virginia

8. Arizona

9. Tennessee

10. Hawaii
