The Association for Visual Arts is closing out its 2015 exhibition season with a juried, members-only show showcasing some of the best professional and emerging artists in the area.
Juror Giang Pham, right, who teaches studio foundations at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, selected "Behind Concrete Walls" as Best in Show, earning artist Brent Weston, left, a solo show next November.
Also included are works by Ellyn Biven, Jillian Walther, Julie Turner, Khambrel Green, Lolly Durant, Mary Haberkorn, Meri Wright, Miki Boni, Myles Freeman, Patrick Ironwood, Renel Plouffe, Suzanne Mortimer, Thomas Spake, Wanda Knowles and Wes Rehberg.
The exhibition will be on view a final day Saturday, Jan. 2, at the AVA Gallery, 30 Frazier Ave. (The gallery is closed for the holidays Dec. 31-Jan. 1.)
