A reception will be held Sunday, June 25, in Harris Arts Center honoring 32 artists whose work is on display in the Regional Art Show that opened this week.

The reception will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Arts Center, 212 S. Wall St. in Calhoun, Ga.

A wide variety of media is represented in the exhibit: oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, mixed media, photography, assemblage sculpture, art dolls and pottery.

Many of the artists reside in Calhoun, but other Georgians represent Adairsville, Ranger, Resaca, Atlanta, Rome, Stone Mountain, Kingston, Rydal, Jasper and Mableton.

"Although this show is not juried, the quality of the work is always exceptional and the variety offers the viewer an interesting mix of styles and perspectives. I'm very proud we celebrate our local and regional talent each year. This is one of my favorite shows that the Visual Arts Committee brings to the galleries," says Toni Molleson, HAC director.

The Regional Art Show will remain on view through Aug. 17. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays. Admission is free.
