Sculpture Fields hosting third anniversary bash

A day of free family fun is planned on the Southside when the Sculpture Fields celebrates its third anniversary with Spring into Sculpture on Saturday, April 27, from noon to 10 p.m.

Bring a lunch or buy one from the food trucks, walk the paths at the Sculpture Fields and enjoy live music and artists painting and drawing outdoors.

The Discovery Bus will be making its way from the Creative Discovery Museum to provide lots of fun for kids. There will be large sculpture blocks on-site so kids can make their own temporary sculptures.

Experience a laser light show before the night closes with an awe-inspiring sculpture burn of a two-story wooden structure by artist Andrew Nigh named "Continuum."

This event is free, however tickets must be booked through the website to help organizers plan. A VIP ticket is offered ($35 individual, $55 couples) that includes priority parking, signature beer koozie, drink tickets, VIP viewing area and drinks line. VIP ticketholders with children under age 18 may bring up to two per adult with them to the viewing area.
