Lee University Theatre presenting 'This Random World'

Lee University Theatre will present "This Random World," a play written by Steven Dietz, beginning Friday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buzz Oates Black Box Theatre in Lee's Communication Arts Building. Performances will also be held at 7:30 on Feb. 16, 21-23.

While mining the comedy of missed personal connections, "This Random World" asks the serious question of how often people travel parallel paths through the world without noticing.

From an ailing woman who plans one final trip to her son falling prey to a prank gone wrong, this play explores the lives that may be happening just out of each other's reach.

"This play is funny, thoughtful and moving. Audiences will walk out wanting to talk about it over coffee," said Dan Buck, director of "This Random World."

The play will feature original music by Dr. John Wykoff, Lee's associate professor of music theory and composition.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children, seniors and students. They are available at the box office in the Communication Arts Building Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m., and one hour before curtain. To purchase tickets online, visit www.showclix.com.

Lee Theatre recommends "This Random World" for audiences ages 14 and older.
