Artist Kati Schmidt will lead Painting For a Purpose art class on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the 6th Cavalry Museum, 6 Barnhardt Circle in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Participants in this museum fundraiser will complete a make-and-take painting, "Field of Flowers," pictured. No art experience is necessary.

The $40 fee includes dinner, canvas and paint supplies; guests may bring an apron or old shirt to protect their clothes and the adult beverage of their choice.
