For 72 years, the East Brainerd Kiwanis Club (formerly Brainerd Kiwanis) has been running a summer barbecue.
The 73rd annual fundraiser takes place on the grounds of the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, 6623 Lee Highway, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, July 26-27.
The Kiwanians have made it as easy for customers as possible with a drive-through loop that enters from and exits onto Lee Highway.
A $10 ticket gets you either a meal to eat on-site, a takeout plate or a package of bulk meat.
Proceeds help fund the Kiwanians' philanthropic youth projects.
