Phillips, Craig & Dean bring latest tour to town

They've sold almost 3 million records, but the release of their latest album, "Fearless," has put Philips, Craig & Dean on a stellar path.

Their mega-hit off the album, the anthem "Revelation Song," was the longest-running single of 2009, spending nearly a year in the Top 10, including 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian charts. The album's second single, "Great Are You Lord," released in August, also went to No. 1, earning the band its 20th No. 1 single in a nearly 20-year career.

"Fearless" also earned the singers their first album win from the Gospel Music Association, winning the 2009 Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year.

Tonight, they'll bring their Fearless tour to Highland Park Baptist Church in a show presented by DMI Concerts.

Music isn't the only ministry for Randy Phillips, Shawn Craig and Dan Dean. The three are also pastors at Pentecostal churches in three U.S. cities: Phillips in Austin, Texas; Craig in St. Louis; and Dean in Carrollton, Texas.

Although first known for softer inspirational hits when they started out in 1991, Phillips, Craig & Dean have grown into edgier praise and worship territory in recent years.

On their website, they say "Fearless" is a statement against the current tide of anxiety in the nation.
