Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys will headline Nightfall on Friday, Aug. 10, after scheduled performer Lilly Mae canceled all her August performances due to "unforeseen circumstances."

Touring in support of their new full-length album "Southland," released in April, Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys formed in Michigan, playing traditional bluegrass. By the time they moved to Nashville, they had taken their songs in new directions to develop their own roots/soul/bluegrass sound.

"Southland" is a collection of songs examining the range of emotions and complex themes of these changing times.

Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys have played Stagecoach Music Festival in California, Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado, Merlefest in North Carolina, Wheatland Music Festival in Michigan, GreyFox in New York, Redwing Roots Festival in Virginia, ROMP in Kentucky and Pagosa Springs Folk Festival in Colorado. They were named one of NPR Music's 12 best live performance sessions of 2015 by Mountain Stage.

Rick Byers Band will still open Friday's show at 7 p.m. before the headliners take the stage at 8 o'clock. Nightfall is a free summer concert series held in Miller Plaza, 850 Market St.
