Six concerts coming up at Chattanooga area universities

Yuman Lee, baritone, and Jerico Vasquez, pianist, perform Franz Schubert's song cycle "Winterreise." The musicians are colleagues at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.

Tlen Huicani presents the musical heritage of Veracruz, Mexico. Tlen Huicani is a Nahuatl word from the Aztec culture that means "the singers." The group's performance features a traditional folk harp representative of Veracruz.

Chattanooga State's symphonic band, under the director of Nicholas Hartline, performs music from movies and video games. The concert will feature flute soloist Alexus Murfin and include students from STEM School of Chattanooga and Hamilton County at Chattanooga State Collegiate High School.
