Flute choir playing Irish music for St. Patrick's Day at Stuart Heights Baptist Church

The Chattanooga Area Flute Society Flute Choir will play a free program of Irish music in honor of St. Patrick's Day on Sunday, March 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Stuart Heights Baptist Church, 3208 Hixson Pike.

The free program will include two movements of "A Gaelic Offering" by Catherine McMichael, several planxtys and jigs.

Joining the flutists will be Dexter Bell on string bass, Tom Lifsey on the bodhran drum and the Rome, Georgia, Flute Ensemble.

The program will be repeated on Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 822 Belvoir Ave.
