Choral Arts of Chattanooga wraps up its season with a concert of music for restoration and renewal of the soul when the singers present "Abide With Me."

The concert will be held Tuesday night, May 14, in Second Presbyterian Church.

Artistic Director Darrin Hassevoort will conduct the choir in Moses Hogan's arrangement of "Abide with Me" and Dan Forrest's "Abide," a setting of a poem inspired by "Abide with Me."

The program will include Kim Andre Arnesen's setting of a text found on a concentration camp wall, which begins with the words "I believe in the sun, even when it's not shining" and concludes with "I believe in God, even when he is silent."

Dana Gioia's poem in memory of his infant son, "Prayer," is set to music by Morten Lauridsen. The concert will include Ola Gjeilo's "Evening Prayer," with text by St. Augustine, and two arrangements by Roland Carter, "Steal Away" and "You Must Have That True Religion."

Tickets are available online in advance or at the door.
