Ten musicians from five countries equal one genre-bending, culture-crossing band.

That's what's in store Thursday night, Sept. 26, when The Jyemo Club from Denver headlines the free Levitt Amp concert at Bessie Smith Cultural Center, 200 E. M.L. King Blvd., at 7 p.m.

Founded by bandleader Jonny Jyemo, the diverse 10-piece is fronted by vocalists Whitney Hernandez from Havana and Jus Goodie from Detroit.

Their bilingual music comes to life with Latin and Caribbean rhythmic fusions and North American funk and rock 'n' roll.

Jyemo Club released debut album "So Near, So Far" in 2018.
